About Us
We made this because we needed it.
Not a business idea. Not a product concept. A need.
We’d watched too many dinners end without a real conversation. Too many nights with people we loved where we talked about everything except the things that mattered.
We knew the conversations were in there - the real ones, the ones that leave you feeling known. We just needed something to open the door.
“In Lak’ech” - I am another you.
The name comes from an ancient Mayan philosophy. A greeting and a worldview. The idea that when you truly see another person - really listen, really pay attention - you recognise something of yourself in them.
That the distance between people is mostly imagined.
That felt true to us. It still does. So we built the game around it.
56 questions. Every one of them hand-illustrated.
We didn’t want a stack of printed text. We wanted something you’d want to pick up - something that felt like it belonged on a table between people who were about to have a good night.
Every card in the deck is original artwork, made by hand, not AI. Each illustration was designed to make you feel something before you’ve even read the question.
The questions aren’t icebreakers. They’re not trivia. They’re the kind of question that makes someone pause before answering - and then say something they didn’t know they were going to say.
No rules. No score. No right answers.
You already know how to do this. Draw a card. Answer honestly, or pass without explanation. Let the conversation go wherever it wants.
Play for fifteen minutes or three hours. One card or all fifty-six. With a partner, a friend, a stranger, or yourself.
The only goal is connection. The cards do the rest.
Take a card. See what happens.
Somewhere between the first question and the last answer, you stop feeling alone.
